St. Vincent’s Girls Boarding Manmad
St. Vincent’s Girls Boarding at Manmad. From the year 1965 onwards sisters were looking after St. Xavier’s boarding both boys and girls in collaboration with Jesuit fathers. Sisters were going to the villages for mobile clinic every week end. During their visit to families they came in contact with many families. They were economically poor, broken-down families either with alcoholism/ drug addicts or broken relationship etc .. And children were almost unwanted and ignored by the parents.. Since their parents were illustrate and ignorant they did not bother to send their children to school. In this situation children from different villages were brought to study in St. Xavier’s school and for these children a small boarding was started for both boys and girls. In the year 1984 Girls Boarding got separated and it was named as “St. Vincent’s Girls Boarding”. In the school as well as in the boarding children received all round development, good formation and moral values and above all good education. 1450 children have been educated and passed through our boarding. They are now having good jobs, and leading decent life in the society. At present there are 65 children are in our boarding aged 10 to 20, studying from Standard 5th to 10th.
